"The Nutcracker"

Think sugarplums and snowflakes as Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley presents one of the season's most beloved holiday traditions, “The Nutcracker.” Artistic Director Karen Knerr brings the tale of Clara and the wooden Nutcracker to life on stage in a delightful performance featuring professional guest artists and local pre-professional dancers from the ballet guild. The guild, celebrating its 52nd season in 2009-10, produced the Lehigh Valley’s first Nutcracker in 1968. The Moravian College chapter of Habitat for Humanity will hold their 2nd Annual Holiday Craft Show in the Breidegam Field House. There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted. All proceeds benefit the Habitat for Humanity Spring Break trip, during which 25 students will travel to either Avery County, North Carolina or Pickens, South Carolina. The craft fair will feature about 40 crafters and vendors with tables displaying different crafts as well as baked goods and refreshments. Items being sold are candles, Christmas decorations, lamps, chocolates, children's clothing, scarves and mittens, jewelry of different styles, and home decor items.
