SUMMARY:Indigenous People & Early Bethlehem A Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:Indigenous people—both visitors and residents—have been part of Bethlehem since its founding. On this walking tour you will learn about the deep\, persistent\, and complex relationships that Lenape\, Mohicans\, and Haudenosaunee people formed with the Moravians at Bethlehem. We will visit to the last surviving home from Nain (a nearby Indigenous village)\, which was moved to Bethlehem in 1765. Please join us for a remarkable and enlightening story. This tour will be held on Saturday\, October 11 at 1:30 p.m.\, starting in the Old Chapel and will last approximately 90 minutes. Participants should expect to walk some steps\, up to God’s Acre and around the historic campus. Please register by emailing the church office.

SUMMARY:Valley Contra Dance
DESCRIPTION:Contra dance is a New England Folk dance similar to square dancing – you dance with a partner (but no partner needs to come) in long lines to live\, vigorous music.  The moves are called by a live caller who teaches each dance number with a walk through.  Bring soft soled shoes like sneakers so as not to mark the lovely wooden floor. Lesson starts at 7 to teach the figures used in each dance.  Admission $15\, Children under 12 free with a paying adult.  Students $8.
