DESCRIPTION:The Lehigh Art Alliance will be exhibiting their Members Invitational Exhibition “Thoroughly Modern” at the Bethlehem Town Hall Rotunda Gallery from July 7 to August 12\, 2025.  This exhibition showcases 16 contemporary artists from the Lehigh Art Alliance who challenge tradition through diverse materials\, bold ideas\, and boundary-pushing approaches. From abstract compositions and conceptual explorations to works engaging with social\, political\, or deeply personal themes\, the show reflects the expansive nature of art today. These artists embrace experimentation\, multicultural perspectives\, and the power of visual language to question\, connect\, and provoke. Thoroughly Modern invites viewers to experience the present moment through art that is as varied and vibrant as the world around us. \n There will be an artists reception on Sunday\, July 13 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.  The Rotunda Gallery is located at 10 E. Church Street.  Gallery hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. \nFounded by Professor Garth Howland of Lehigh University\, LAA has deep roots in the community as an organization for amateur and professional artists. Historically\, the mission of the Lehigh Art Alliance has been to enrich the Lehigh Valley through the support of artists in their creative endeavors and to provide exhibition and educational opportunities to our members and surrounding community. \nThe exhibition is sponsored by the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission (www.bfac-lv.org) and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

DESCRIPTION:This dynamic workshop is ideal for the teen vocalist who wants to push their skills to the next level?  Participants will focus on building musical theatre skills with a focus on singing as well as performance practice with basic acting and choreography. They will also learn about the different eras of musical theatre as well as explore contemporary American musical theatre. We will work together to prepare solo songs\, duets/trios\, and a full group number to present in a showcase at the end of the week. This workshop is perfect for both beginners who are interested in getting started as well as more advanced students looking to hone their craft. This tour is the perfect option!\nYou’ll visit the Single Sisters’ House\, part of the Moravian Church Settlements–Bethlehem World Heritage Site; the 1752 Apothecary\, which until its closing in the 1950s was the oldest pharmacy in continuous operation in the United States; and the Nain-Schober House\, the only extant 18th-century building built by and lived in by Indigenous Peoples in Eastern Pennsylvania.\nThis tour departs from the Moravian Museum (66 W. Church Street) at noon every day the museum is open\, and all three locations are within easy walking distance of the museum.
