DESCRIPTION:Checking In? Bethlehem’s Alluring Accommodations Exhibit is Now Open! \nThis experience transports guests back nearly three hundred years to various hospitality sites in downtown Bethlehem. This multi-site experience ventures to the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem and the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts. Guests will visit sites such as the fictional Moravian Inn\, a reconstruction of the Eagle Hotel\, and the Sun Inn. Along the way\, guests will learn all about the various visitors of Bethlehem\, the importance of hospitality to Bethlehem’s history\, and the roots of these hotels in shaping the United States.  \nThis exhibit offers two ticketing options\, one of which includes a Christmas City Spirits tasting experience and a complimentary tasting glass with a recipe at the conclusion of the tour at the Sun Inn.  \nThe Kemerer Museum and Moravian Museum are open Friday through Sunday\, 11 AM – 5 PM. DESCRIPTION:The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Literary Arts Department will hold its monthly reading at Cafe the Lodge\, on Friday\, October 4\, from 6-8 PM as part of the Southside Arts District’s First Friday event.  Students will present a variety of original written works.  There will also be an Open Mic portion of the event that is open to the community.  This is a FREE event\, but patrons are encouraged to support the venue by ordering from the cafe’s amazing menu. \nLiterary arts is one of Charter Arts’ seven artistic majors\, which also include dance\, instrumental music\, production arts\, theatre\, visual arts and vocal music. The school’s unique arts-centered curriculum pairs pre-professional training in the arts with a rigorous core academic program. Students of the literary arts department engage in a comprehensive writing curriculum with courses such as Character Development\, Exploration of Modernism & Postmodernism\, Children’s Literature\, Film Studies\, Exploration of the Romantic Style\, Media Studies\, and more.  \nLiterary Arts Artistic Director\, Kristin Liemberger\, shares: “Students write and analyze creatively and critically\, experimenting with their own creative voices in the construction\, production\, and performance of original works. She has taught early childhood since 2009.  Currently\, Nia is in the midst of learning to be a birth worker to support birthing beings themselves and those who are growing within them from conceiving to postpartum. Her classes and community offerings weave all the parts of herself together. Offering movement with a touch of playfulness and songs to soothe everyone present. Nia has performed here in the Valley\, Philadelphia Amsterdam and Rio de Janeiro.
